Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior (MININT) has revealed new details regarding the recent armed confrontation on the coast of Villa Clara, specifically in the Corralillo area. According to the official report, the incident involved a speedboat with U.S. registration and resulted in the deaths of four people and several injuries.

Authorities presented an extensive arsenal that they claim was seized from the boat’s crew. Among the equipment shown on national television were assault rifles, handguns, telescopic sights, bulletproof vests, and more than 12,000 rounds of ammunition of various calibers (including 5.56x45 mm and 7.62 mm).
First Colonel Ybey Carballo Pérez, Chief of Staff of the Border Guard Troops, stated that it was a “well-armed infiltration team with objectives of committing terrorist acts.”
